Easter in the Forest of St. Anthony: hike along the Water Trails

An Easter Monday immersed in the green, among lush paths, sparkling streams and spectacular waterfalls: on Monday, April 21, 2025, the Municipality of Reggello, in collaboration with the Viandare Association and with the support of Publiacqua SpA, invites everyone to participate in the first hike of the project “The Water Walks,” designed to raise awareness and appreciation of the rich natural and water heritage of the Forest of St. Anthony.

The appointment is open to all citizenship, to share together a day in the open air, dedicated to discovery, wellness and nature. The trail will wind through woods in full spring bloom, charming hanging bridges, crystal clear pools and waterfalls that represent one of the most surprising corners of the Reggellese territory.

Technical details of the hike:

  • Length: about 9 km
  • Height difference: 610 m
  • Difficulty: E (hiking – medium difficulty)
  • Meet: 9 a.m. in Piazza Caduti sul Lavoro, Rignano sull’Arno (parking lot behind the church), or at 9:30 a.m. directly at the starting point (which will be communicated to those registered)
  • Packed lunch
  • Dogs allowed (to be reported at the time of registration)
  • Limited seats

Equipment needed: hiking shoes (mandatory), layered clothing, waterproof or windproof jacket, at least 1 liter of water, snacks, energy bars. Recommended trekking poles.

Participation is free and the hike will be led by a licensed environmental hiking guide, with insurance coverage. The trek will be confirmed the afternoon of the previous day, depending on weather conditions.
